Central Umpqua – Mid Klamath Oak Habitat Conservation Project  . . . Project Partners and their roles

Lomakatsi will coordinate and lead the partnership effort to implement the project, and will provide technical assistance to landowners in many ways, including:

  • documents needed for regulatory compliance in forestry operations (production o prescribed fire management plans, DEQ smoke management, forestry operating permits, etc.)
  • project design, layout, and GIS mapping
  • silvicultural prescriptions
  • contractor and workforce development and training
  • monitoring, quality control and inspections (with NRCS).

Additional partners provide matching funds, technical expertise and the collective capacity to implement this landscape-level cooperative conservation effort. Partners perform a variety of tasks including landowner outreach and recruitment, project planning, contract and conservation plan development, project implementation, and monitoring.
