Restoration By-product Utilization

~ Restoration By-product Utilization

After ecological goals were met, by-products of our restoration work were utilized from the Hope Mountain Project, Deer Willy, and the East Side Pine Project.

In the year of 2010, these included:
– 322,000 board feet of saw logs generally less than 14” in diameter,
– 5,000 linear feet of small diameter poles,
– 500 cords of firewood,
– 5,000 tons of unusable tops and branches which were used as “biomass” for generating electricity at local facilities.
