Through our strong, long‑term partnership with the Fort Bidwell Tribe, our team helped gather and deliver 14 cords of firewood that will be used for the next winter season, helping ensure warmth and security for community members.
With a wood‑gathering permit issued by the local Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Applegate Valley Field office, an through Lomakatsi’s Regional Intertribal Indian Youth Service Corps program — tribal citizens representing the Fort Bidwell, Klamath, Pit River, Burns Paiute, Warm Springs, and Duck Valley tribal communities — worked in partnership with staff from the Fort Bidwell Indian Tribe to make this effort possible. Funding was provided through the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Workforce and Youth Development program.
Grateful for the collaboration, the hard work, and the shared commitment to caring for one another.
