Lomakatsi Ecological Services (LES) is seeking a qualified Crew Boss to join our expanding leadership team for our Interagency Firefighting Crew Agreement (IFCA) wildland fire suppression contract. Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. In addition to being a Crew Boss on the IFCA contract, LES can also provide this individual with year-round employment to fill a key leadership position for our forestry crew operations. At a minimum, LES could hire this individual prior to fire season.

Description of full-time Forestry position
The individual hired for the seasonal Crew Boss position would have an additional opportunity to lead a year-round position responsible to oversee the day-to-day operations of the LES labor-workforce employment program to implement forestry, prescribed fire and a diverse set of restoration projects. This position is directly involved with the LES labor restoration workforce in a range of capacities, all of which provide for the production, safety and accomplishment of LES contractual obligations of the labor crew. This individual manages phases of project implementation, provides technical oversight and quality control inspections, engages with landowners and representatives, conducts prescribed fire operations, and orients new hires. This position can require working independently in between the field and office settings to perform technical and management duties.
Seasonal: Highly competitive daily rate of pay when acting as Crew Boss during Wildfire incidents
Full-time: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience (includes full benefits, paid vacation, and retirement)
