This week, our Rogue Valley crews transitioned from ecological fuels reduction to wildland fire response. Our 20-person hand crew is now stationed at the Wild Rivers Ranger District on the U.S. Forest Service- Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, awaiting assignment for initial attack should new wildfire starts be detected. Lomakatsi’s Type 6 engine and crew currently still assigned to the Donomore Incident, supporting mop-up operations. We’re grateful to all our crew members for their year-round dedication toward healthy forests and more resilience communities.
