Lyndsey Lascheck – Restoration Forestry Technician
Lyndsey is part of Lomakatsi’s technician crew responsible for restoration project design and layout, species inventory, and monitoring the effects of Lomakatsi’s work in forests throughout the region. In addition, she assists managers and specialists with contracting and project planning and tracking. Lyndsey also draws on her fire experience to contribute to Lomakatsi’s prescribed fire operations as a Fire Effects Monitor.
Raised in the mountains of Idaho, Lyndsey cultivated passion and appreciation for the natural world at an early age. Lyndsey received her B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Ecological Restoration from Humboldt State University. She started her career working for the National Park Service in vegetation management, restoration, wildland firefighting, prescribed burning, and fire effects monitoring. She was fortunate enough to work at many of our cherished National Parks in the West including Redwood, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, and Joshua Tree National Parks as well as Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Lyndsey came to the Rogue Valley to work for The Nature Conservancy and later joined the Lomakatsi team in the Spring of 2017. Lyndsey is thrilled to be able to contribute to Lomakatsi’s work in the region, exploring and learning about this diverse area every day and working to support sustainable land management and healthy communities.
