Medford Bear Creek Riparian Restoration Project – Spencer St. Launched one year ago, this four acre project has been adopted by Medford’s Logos Charter School with support from numerous other local schools, youth crews and community volunteers. The new Medford REI store also adopted this site recently through their community volunteer program. For news about support from REI, click here.
Located on Medford Parks Property, this streamside restoration project is sponsored by the National Audubon Society and Toyota through a Together Green Innovation Grant and administered by Lomakatsi Restoration Project. Project partners include Lomakatsi, Rogue Valley Audubon Society, Bear Creek Watershed Council, Medford Tree Committee and Logos Charter School.
Directions: Park at the mulch piles at the end of Spencer St. Walk approximately 50 yards along dirt road parallel to I-5 or just look for volunteers working.
