Lomakatsi is conducting controlled pile burning on up to 67 acres of private land along Mystery Creek Road, off Anderson Creek Road in Talent, Oregon. This operation follows ecological thinning to reduce the risk of wildfire to the community and increase forest health. JD Forestry has been contracted to conduct the burn with support from our team.

This effort is part of the Anderson Creek Hazardous Fuels Reduction Project funded by a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant to Lomakatsi. It is located within the West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project, a project of Rogue Forest Partners that spans 27,000 acres of the wildland urban interface west of Bear Creek and the I-5 corridor from Talent to Jacksonville.
