Prescribed Burn Notification: February 21, 2023
West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project – Two sites: Near Holton Rd & Anderson Creek Rd in Talent
Lomakatsi has received clearance from Oregon Department of Forestry to conduct controlled pile burning on private land on two sites outside Talent, OR, one near Holton Rd. and the other near Anderson Creek Rd. Up to 145 acres will be completed today between the two locations. Operations may continue through the week as conditions allow.
**Please note that there are often additional controlled burns happening in this watershed that are not conducted by Lomakatsi or Rogue Forest Partners, for which we do not provide these notifications.**
This effort is within the West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project, a project of Rogue Forest Partners, to reduce the risk of severe wildfire to communities and ecosystems in the wildland urban interface west of Bear Creek and the I-5 corridor, from Talent to Jacksonville.
