West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project – Holton Road, Talent
Lomakatsi crews have received clearance from Oregon Department of Forestry to conduct a controlled pile burn on private land near Holton Creek Road west of Talent. Up to 25 acres of piles will be burned today.
This effort is within the West Bear All-Lands Restoration Project, a project of Rogue Forest Partners, to reduce the risk of severe wildfire to communities and ecosystems in the wildland urban interface west of Bear Creek and the I-5 corridor, from Talent to Jacksonville.
