Inter-Tribal Ecosystem Restoration Partnership
Peer-to-Peer Learning Summit

November 14-16, 2023

Sunriver, Oregon

Hosted by Lomakatsi Restoration Project and the Inter-Tribal Ecosystem Restoration Partnership

Elevating tribal partnerships in collaborative forest and watershed restoration

The Summit will invite tribal, nonprofit, and agency leaders to gather with the goal of increasing tribal inclusion in landscape-scale restoration initiatives through peer-to-peer learning. Speakers and panelists will share success stories, best practices, and challenges, supported by participant discussions in breakout groups.

The Summit provides a historic opportunity to establish a framework to support ongoing collaboration among tribes based in Oregon, tribes with ancestral geography in Oregon, and agencies and organizations working across the state to build ecosystem and community resilience to the mounting impacts of climate change, and empower partnerships to co-manage, co-invest, and collaborate on large, landscape-scale initiatives.

Summit partners as of May 2023 include Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, Burns-Paiute Tribe, Fort Bidwell Indian Community of the Northern Paiute Gidutikad Band, Tolowa Dee’Ni Nation, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board, Oregon State University Extension, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Partners for Fish & Wildlife. Planning for this inter-tribal regional effort has been generously funded by Meyer Memorial Trust.
