Make a difference this summer! Put on your boots and learn restoration forestry skills.
The Klamath Tribe’s Natural Resources and Education and Employment Departments have joined together with Lomakatsi Restoration Project, to facilitate the Tribal Youth Ecological Forestry Training Program. Selected youth participants aged 18-24 will gain valuable workforce experience through hands-on training in technical forestry, working with professional staff from the Klamath Tribes Natural Resources Department and Lomakatsi Restoration Project, as part of a large-scale forest restoration stewardship initiative on the Klamath Reservation Forest. Most work is performed in the field with some classroom instruction time.
When: June 11 through July 20, 2018
Pay: $12 per hour
Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week, Monday through Thursday.
Who Can Apply: Those at least 18 years old and not older than 24. Must be an enrolled Klamath Tribal Member, Klamath Tribal Descendant or a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe, and currently attending or have completed high school/GED.
