Tribal Crew Support Associate
As Tribal Crew Support Associate, Dallas restores forest health by reducing hazardous fuels through ecological thinning, hand piling, and controlled burning, and supports tribal forestry crews as they work to reduce the risk of wildfire to the ecosystem and communities. He is an enrolled member of The Klamath Tribes and descendant of the Modoc, Apache, Dee‘Ni, Ute and Yaqui peoples.
Dallas joined the Lomakatsi team in April 2022 and earned certifications as a Firefighter Type 2, including Wildland Fire Chainsaw operation, First Aid/CPR, and Wildland Fire Incident Qualifications as standardized by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. He previously earned certification in Cultural Monitoring while employed with The Klamath Tribes and worked on Lomakatsi Ecological Service’s Wildland Fire Response team summer 2022. Dallas finds working deep in the woods to be calming and enjoyable. Above all, he loves his family and four children.
