Justice Blacksun

Tribal Partnerships Associate

As Tribal Partnerships Associate, Justice Blacksun helps recruit tribal staff and support them on their individual paths to greatest success through mentorship, mental health support and resource connection. He works to encourage peer connections that support lasting sobriety and is training to offer services through the White Bison culturally based healing program.

Justice is a descendant of The Klamath Tribes and an enrolled member of the Apsaalooke “Crow” Nation in southern Montana. He holds an Associate’s degree in General Studies and a Drug and Alcohol counselor certification. During the pandemic, Justice provided wraparound services for the Klamath County tribal community through Lomakatsi’s community health services program in collaboration with the Oregon Health Authority.

Justice works from the foundation of challenges in his own life to provide compassionate guidance and help others choose a positive direction through education, spirituality, community and employment. His role is critical to ensuring Lomakatsi’s tribal workforce develops and thrives.

Since becoming a Tribal Partner in 2022, Justice’s favorite part of his job is meeting with crew members one on one, providing encouragement, support and direction while identifying inner needs, the roots of behavior and next steps. Outside of work, Justice is likely spending time with family, drawing or drumming.
