Shane Jimerfield
Program Director
The Program Director serves in coordination with Lomakatsi’s team of directors to develop and implement programs and services. As Program Director, he is responsible for the management of programs, ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, and quality control and evaluation.
Prior to joining Lomakatsi’s staff, Shane worked in conservation since 1990 protecting habitat and endangered species at the Center for Biological Diversity, Siskiyou Project, and the Klamath Siskiyou Wildlands Center. He also served on the Josephine County Natural Resources Advisory Committee. In 2008 Shane was instrumental in co-developing a forest and watershed master stewardship agreement between Lomakatsi Restoration Project, the US Forest Service, and Siskiyou Project. That agreement was the first of its kind in the nation which provided a framework for collaborative ecological forest restoration between diverse interests. That model has now been replicated by Lomakatsi and other organizations across the country.
He received a BS in Atmospheric Physics from the University of Arizona. In his free time he enjoys woodworking and whitewater rafting.
